Description
No Hands Bridge, Auburn, California. The bridge was completed on March 23, 1912. It was built by the Pacific Portland Cement Company to accommodate trains servicing an upstream rock quarry. At the time of its construction the bridge was the longest concrete arch bridge in the world. It survived a couple floods with one being an up stream dam break that took out other bridges and structures.
